The Bill Ledbetter Project Bio

Growing up in a tight-knit musical family with their musician Dad, Bud Ledbetter, Bill and his siblings developed a love of music early in life. After years of ‘arm chair’ music theory and endless pickin’ sessions with Bud and other musician friends, Bill and his brother Joe started jamming in the Birmingham music scene in the mid 80s. All this time, they have been hosting weekly or biweekly jam sessions in various locations with an array of talented musicians. These musical celebrations have often evolved into working bands with a focus on originality. The Bill Ledbetter Project is the latest band and includes Bill on guitar, vocals, and harmonica, brother Joe on bass, John English on guitar, & Matt Brennan on drums.

The BLP is proud to release their first CD, Always Come Home (Someday), recorded in April at Bates Brothers Recording. The CD includes five of Bill's original tunes, and the song, "So Cool" co-written with his talented friend, Jean Campbell. This collection also features Troy Bland on keyboards on four tracks, and slide guitar on "I'm So Tired," and Tom Thomas playing fiddle on "Lost and Forgotten."
