The legend of KY Brigante came about during the rap boom of the mid 1980's. KY Brigante, according to legend, "was the best rap artist with no record deal to ever lay hands on a microphone" he roamed from east to west devotedly rapping to any and everyone who would listen. The reason for KY's mission is unknown, although it's said he dreamed of touching every heart and sould throughout the world with his music. Some rap historians have credited the east coast underground for starting the tales. Others attribute the tales to a west coast record company during the early 1990's. Still others doubt whether or not KY even existed at all. All agree, however that the KY legend probably grew as the tales about him grew, bringing a new meaning to the term "tall tale." Stories about KY Brigante first circulated through the underground circles of Virginia, North Carolina, and Georgia, where rappers first heard and then retold the fables, adding local or personal embellishments. And even now, KY Brigante is still talked about in rap circles throughout the country. To order the album call 205 422 9655
