The 4-Door Ramblers combine some of the most experienced players in North Alabama to produce one of the best bands around. From covers of blues acts such as BB King, Freddie King, and Albert King to more recent rock legends such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, and Eric Clapton, 4-DR combines the heart and soul of the blues with the excitement of rock and roll.

3rd Place Finalist - MCBS Battle of the Blues Bands 2004 Voted one of the Top 3 Blues Bands of 2004 & 2005 in the Tennessee Valley by readers of the Valley Planet Formed in December of 2003.

Geary "Uncle G" Tucker - Vocals, Harp:

Geary is a follically challenged, vocalist/harp player; who didn't get into the music game until the early 1990's. But it didn't take long for him to prove, as frontman for local blues band "Crosscut", that he is a naturally gifted blues singer and one of North Alabama’s best. Audiences instantly respond to his passionate, powerful singing. As a member of The 4-Door Ramblers, he also rounds out the band playing harp and...oh yeah...did we mention he sings???. You can also catch him every week helping put on the Kaffeeklatsch's Sunday Night Blues Jam. Geary prefers Lee Oskar harps, played through an Astatic mic (w/Shure element) & Fender amp.

Trent "Thumper" Gilbert - Bass:

Blues great Willie Dixon's son, and some how related to James Brown and P-Funk bassist Bootsy Collins, Trent's been playing bass for longer than, well...we won't go there!!! Retired from the Army after 21yrs of service, he has played bass in numerous rock, country, and blues bands in locations all around the world including Phoenix, El Paso, Seattle, Kansas City, Savanna, and even Germany. He is primary influenced by Chris Squire of Yes and the late Allen Woody of The Allman Brothers and Government Mule. These days, his current weapon of choice is a custom built Carvin LB75, fretless 5 string played thru a Carvin 500 watt head (weighing in @ 5.5lbs) and Ampeg Portabass cabinet (don't even ask about the Ampeg Portabass head). When he needs to bring the thunder, he has an 18" & 2-10" Carvin rig on stand-by.

Tony Carnett - Vocals, Guitar:

Tony shreds...'nuff said!!

Gear-wise; his main axe is a Gibson Les Paul, played through a Peavy amp & Leslie cabinet.

Greg Hames - Drums:

Greg started his first band "Dinimite" (he's a drummer, so spelling is not his strong point) when he was in 4th grade in 196...well, let's leave it at that. He has done recording work in Muscle Shoals & Birmingham; and has played drums in numerous rock, blues, Top 40, soul, & funk bands. Greg has now found his home as a heavy footed drummer, playing blues with The Ramblers. His kit of choice is a Premier, which is made in England. His influences include Simon Kirk (Bad Company); the late John Bonham (Led Zepplin); and his favorite, Matt Abts (Government Mule).
