About Me:

I am from Fort Payne, Alabama. Most of my musical career was spent between Birmingham and Muscle Shoals before moving to Nashville. I worked in gospel music during my early teens playing bass for a local act called The Supernals, then The Statesmen Quartet and The Imperials. Later I became a member of the band, Jackson Highway, produced by Jimmy Johnson and David Hood for Capitol records in 1980 . I moved to Nashville in 1983 and traveled for a while before taking a house gig at the Starlite Club to stay in town. I began singing jingles and doing various sessions until I later met Johnny Neel. We started working together as partners in his studio, Straight-Up Sound and have been working together for 15 years with all kinds of acts from Alternative to Blues, Rock and Country and loving it. i also did a short tour in 1998 with the group, Alabama (I grew up with the members from Fort Payne) then returned to the Starlite. I'm still the Band Leader there on weekends with a great band. Currently Kimberly Moses is our vocalist, Brian Davidson on guitar, Larry Van Loon on keyboards and Andy Peake on drums. Over the years, i have met and worked a lot of great players in that club. I'm an Engineer, Producer, Bass player (as well as keyboards and guitar) and Singer. I Love Music and I love Nashville.
