When two of the industry's best songwriters, Ches Rears and Marian Smith, needed an artist to record their songs, they were fortunate to find Joey Holder. The first time they heard him sing, they knew he was right for their songs and that the three of them would make a perfect team for "Echoes of Life".

Joey Holder is an exceptionally talented artist and musician who literally "does it all." Joey has spent a lifetime in music. A recording artist in his own right, he has also worked as sound engineer for some of the greatest artists of two decades at Muscle Shoals Sound Studio and Fame Studio in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. He is a featured singer in the Artists/Songwriters CD, "One Voice", a tribute to the victims of 911 from all the premier artists and songwriters of Muscle Shoals. These songwriters and musicians have provided songs and worked with such greats as George Jones, Reba McIntire, Randy Travis and others. As you may know, Muscle Shoals is the original recording home for Otis Redding, ALABAMA, Little Richard, and a majority of the greats. A "killer guitarist," Barry Billings, who has played with many of the stars of the music world, is also featured on three of the recordings of "Echoes of Life."

Of his songwriting, Ches Rears says, "Songwriting is more than a hobby for me, it's a passion. It's the way I capture and celebrate life. This album chronicles special events in my life, as well as those of my family and friends. It's life as I've known it, and it should be familiar to you too, because you and I grew up sharing life together. It's a story of all of our lives, our youth, our loves, and our adventures -- our echoes of life. I hope the songs bring back fond memories for you. Thanks for listening".
