Steve Moore

Born: Red Bay, AL

Worked with Terry Woodford and Clayton Ivey at Wishbone Studio in Muscle Shoals. Steve started as an assistant but finally worked his way up to studio manager. He stayed at Wishbone Studio for three years. While at Wishbone, he worked with artists such as Hot, Mac McAnally, B.J. Thomas, Jim Stafford, Joe Simon, Brenda Lee, John Prine, George Jones, Hank Williams, Jr., and Johnny Taylor and many others. In 1978, Moore opened East Avalon Recording Studio. The studio was the site for recording by a variety of acts including The Forester Sisters, The Kendalls, Mac McAnally, Dobie Gray, George Jones, LeBlanc-Carr, Johnny Paycheck, Narvel Felts, and Bruce Channel.
