Owner and founder of McGuire Productions, Bud is a native of Hamilton, AL. The roots of his career began at age 13. Raised the son of a Baptist Minister, he grew up in church playing piano and writing Christian songs that were published by various publishing companies. A chance trip to Nashville to visit a recording session at age 16 changed him forever. That day forward he began the pursuit of a professional career in music. As a songwriter he signed his first publishing deal with Fame Studios, Muscle Shoals, AL and legendary record producer Rick Hall. Next stop was a permanent return to Nashville to work with CBS Songs and famed Kenny Rogers producer, Larry Butler.

From there Bud formed his own companies which have grown to include music publishing, radio station ownership (in Arkansas & Texas) and a full service jingle production company. Past music credits include 4 number one songs (2 as a writer, 2 as a publisher) numerous top 10 and top 20 records and over 28 million in record sales. His songs have been recorded by Alabama, Kenny Rogers, Hank Williams, Jr., Tammy Wynette, Eddy Raven, Clarence Carter, Joe Nichols, Jerry Reed, Randy Travis, Crystal Gayle, Mickey Gilley, Johnny Lee, George Jones, David Allan Coe, Moe Bandy, Janie Fricke, Reba McEntire, Eddy Arnold, Diamond Rio, Shenandoah, Ty Herndon, X-Excutioners, Lee Ann Womack....and the list goes on.
