PictureMichael Panepento plays percussion in GrooveDaddy. Originally from Buffalo, New York, Michael is also an engineer and producer. He just recently co-produced the 50th Anniversary CD for the Temptations entitled “Still Here” on Universal Records.

As a percussionist, Michael is a seasoned professional having performed as a studio musician as well as on live international tours. His performance credits include Jesus Christ Superstar, The Temptations, Donnie & Marie Osmond, Nancy Wilson, The Four Tops, The Commodores, Anita Ward, Mel Tillis, Ruben Studdard, and many others including countless radio and TV commercials.

Michael Panepento comes from a large family of builders from upstate New York. He holds two degrees in music from The State University of New York and has taught both junior high and college level curriculum.

As a music professional (drummer/sound engineer), Michael has performed and toured with acts such as The Temptations, The Four Tops, The Alabama Symphony Orchestra, Jesus Christ Superstar and The Commodores, among others. As an active professional in the music business, Michael works as a production/stage manager for major artists and music festivals throughout the southeast. In addition, he has produced and engineered more than two dozen records, movie soundtracks, and countless radio and television commercials.

As an acoustical engineer, Michael has helped design and construct seven recording studios in Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee along with church systems, dance studios, and music venues. His knowledge and experience in acoustics, music, buildings and spaces serve as a strong foundation for ChapelLane Productions' system designs.

Michael is an active member of the Greater Birmingham Association of Homebuilders and serves on the Public Relations committee. Michael is also a member of AES ( Audio Engineers Society) and The Acoustical Society of America. (ASA)
