Jerry Powell, originally from north Alabama, is a veteran songwriter and guitarist who spent years on the road and locally with various bands such as Carnival and the Dalton Boys.  He is a former CBS/EPIC recording artist, and staff songwriter with Sony/Tree Music, as well as Muscle Shoals Sound Music Publishing.  His songwriting style includes R&B, Country, Gosper, Rock and Comedy.  His songs have had chart success in all those fields.
