Ben Spradley

Singer/songwriter, and Nashville recording artist, Ben Spradley, has been writing songs most of his life. He is truly a talented person with the ability to paint pictures with words. Although Ben can write for any genre, his music has mostly a positive country sound and is likely to be a story song. Back in 1994 Ben wrote” Racing for the Lord,” a tribute to the late great, Davey Allison, a NASCAR driver from Alabama, who was tragically killed in a helicopter crash at Talladega, just a few miles from Ben’s home town. The song reached #4 in the nation on the Christian country charts, and still is being played some today during race seasons. Singer/songwriters such as Harry Chapin, James Taylor and Don Williams have all had some influence on Ben’s writing! Taught by his mom, Ben learned to play the guitar at the age of five years old and it has been a valuable tool in helping to create his memorable melodies. Growing up in rural central Alabama, Ben would lie awake with his window open during summer nights and listen to the music the night birds, crickets and whippoorwills would make in a harmonizing symphony of nature. From that humble beginning, Ben has grown into an inspiring songwriter-both in his lyrics and melodies.

Ben Spradley is a proud member of NSAI (Nashville Songwriters Association International).
