"Trotline" has absolutely become one of the most popular "country/southern rock" bands in the Southeast today. Since originating in South Georgia in 1997, the five-member band has made their way from their home state of Georgia to Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Louisiana, North and South Carolina, and Texas.

Performing more than 140 shows a year for the past 13 years, it didn't take long for the word to get out that ”Trotline" was a must-have band for any event, including weddings! Never heard of them? Well, come out and see them. One thing is for sure, when the show is over, you will be "Hooked!"

Kenny Strickland - Lead Vocals/Accoustic Guitar/Harmonica

Kenny is from Valdosta, Ga. He started playing guitar when he was 9; "Our family would have gatherings every weekend and we would sing and play old country and bluegrass songs - from Merle Haggard to Ricky Skaggs." When high school began, Kenny put down his guitar and picked up a football. After leaving the football behind, Kenny attended Valdosta State University and decided to pick up the guitar once again. He began playing solo acts at local establishments, until he and some friends put a band together in 1997, called Trotline. It took several years of playing and changing musicians to form today's Trotline. Upon graduation it was much easier for Kenny and the guys to make the long trips to cover the southeast - "in the early days it wasn't easy driving all night and then having to sit through class the following day." Kenny still lives in South Georgia GA with his wife, Holly, and daughter Emmy Lea.

Gil Trimm - Lead Guitar/Mandolin

Gil grew up in South Georgia. He began playing guitar at birth. He would often play the guitar when his family would get together - we played everything from Osborne Brothers to a little Ozzy Osbourne. After high school, Gil formed a band and played around south Georgia and North Florida. He moved to Nashville, TN in 1995 where he performed at local bars, managed at a Lowe's, wrote songs, and sold resort real estate. When he grew tired of Nashville and all of the work - he moved to Daytona Beach to hang out awhile. He then joined Trotline as lead guitarist, electrician, mechanic, and road tech. Gil now lives in South Georgia and has a constant feeling of deja vu.....he has never been happier!

Garry Barnes - Drums

Garry has spent most of his career in music trying not to become famous or successful. Ironically, he has been quite successful at it. It would simply be a waste of time to mention all of the artists that he has played with, as you have never heard of any of them. He would like to thank all of his fans around the country for not buying the albums he has played on and not liking the songs he has written, enabling him to keep his feet firmly planted on the ground. After spending the last year on the road with "Trotline", he has no doubt that this trend will continue and wants to humbly thank you for that. Contrary to the photogenic pictures that appear here, Garry is not a super model, but just an ordinary guy.

Alex Craig - Bass Guitar/Backup Vocals

Born in Mobile, AL in 1984. Growing up in Montgomery, he began singing at a very early age around school and church until one day Alex realized he would need more than just a cute face and a voice to impress the ladies. So at age 12 he picked up the guitar and has been playing ever since at various clubs and frat parties or just about anywhere. In October 2005 Alex got the call to pick up the bass and sing backup vocals for Trotline. He would like to thank all of the amazing fans that make it possible to do what we do week in and week out and hopes that he can continue to make music with such a great group of musicians like Trotline.

Dustin Erwin - Fiddle/ Guitar

Dustin is from Chelsea, Alabama (a few miles outside of Birmingham). He grew up playing the guitar and singing at family gatherings, high school parties, camp fires, local events . After gradating high school, Dustin continued to play acoustic shows at small bars around Auburn University where he attended his first years of college. After two years in Auburn, Dustin transferred to the University of Alabama where he graduated with a degree in business management. He started working with the Trotline band in 2005 as a light/monitor tech and opening act. After going on the road with the band for a year and a half, the opportunity presented itself for Dustin to become a full-time member of the band. Dustin continues to have a passion for playing live music and loves every minute of performing on stage with the guys of Trotline.
